About The Via Ferrata Experience at Lavilleon Adventure Park (Beginner-Friendly Activity in Mauritius)

The Via Ferrata at Lavilleon Adventure Park consists of a predefined, secure climbing route along a mountain cliff which is 85 metres high. There is a firmly fixed cable that runs along the route to keep you safe throughout the activity.

The best part is that no climbing experience is necessary. Via Ferrata routes are a fantastic way for beginner climbers as it is safe and secure. They’re also the perfect sporting alternative for those who want to experience the thrill of mountain climbing without the advanced climbing skills.

You will get to wear a helmet and have a secure harness connected to bungee-like ropes with carabiners at the end and move the ropes along as you climb. The activity will be carried out under the supervision of experienced guides.

Afterwards, make the most of the free visit of the endemic forest to spend a wonderful time in tropical nature surrounded by ebony trees aged over 300 years. Home to many endangered birds such as Cato vert, pink pigeon and Coq des bois (Paradis Flycatcher), the forest also houses 85+ plants including palmiste blanc, bois pigeon, bois d’ébene and many others.
